FIBC Handling & Safety Guidelines
Always inspect FIBCs before use to ensure there are no visible damages or defects that could compromise safety. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and safe working load (SWL) limits to ensure proper handling and storage.
Ensure the bag is properly positioned and supported during filling to maintain stability and even weight distribution. Use controlled discharge methods to prevent sudden release of materials and reduce the risk of spillage or damage.
Use appropriate lifting equipment and ensure lifting loops are correctly secured before moving the bag. Avoid dragging or sudden movements during lifting to prevent stress on the bag structure.
When using liners, ensure they are properly fitted and aligned with the outer bag to maintain product protection. Check liner compatibility with the stored material to prevent contamination or leakage.
Store filled and empty FIBCs in clean, dry areas away from sharp objects and direct sunlight. During transportation, secure the bags properly to prevent shifting, damage, or instability.
